Super Enzymes Treatment Program for institutional Grease Traps
All grease traps should have initial or purge treatment of Super Enzymes directly into the traps.
If grease trap is heavily-loaded, partially clean grease trap manually first for best results.
After this initial or purge treatment, it will not be necessary to service IP Super Enzymes is used in all locations on a regular schedule as outlined herein. This will retain the culture level in the grease traps thereafter.
Super Enzymes action will take from two to four days to reach maximum efficiency following the initial treatments.
Applications should always be made during the longest periods on non-use after all cleaning is finished in order to allow Super Enzymes to get a good substantial start.
Super Enzymes in grease traps operate on the principles of saponification, emulsification, dispersion and liquefaction.
The initial or purge treatment should be made u by mixing one 9or more cups of Super Enzymes into one gallon of warm water, stir into a slurry and pour directly into the opening over the entire area.
The amount of Super Enzymes to mix into a slurry with warm water for the initial or purge treatment is as follows:
3 to 10 gallon size grease trap 1/2 cup
10 to 20 gallon size grease trap 1 cup
20 to 50 gallon size grease trap 1 cup per 15 gallon of grease trap size
100 to 500 gallon size grease trap 1 pound Super Enzymes
500 to 1000 gallon size grease trap 2 pounds Super Enzymes
Over 1000 gallon size grease trap 1 pound per 1000 gallons
Super Enzymes in sinks according to the amount of frequency specified on a regular schedule, will provide adequate treatment for proper operation of the grease trap thereafter:
Dishwasher 1 tablespoon once a week
Pot and Pan Sink 1 tablespoon each day
Pre-Rinse Tank 1 tablespoon each day
Wash Sinks 1 tablespoon each week
Slop Sinks 1 tablespoon each day
Garbage Disposal 2 tablespoon twice a week
Potato Peeler 1 tablespoon twice a week
If grease traps for kitchen wastes are connected to septic tanks or cesspools in institutions, kitchens, night clubs, road stands, etc., with high concentrations of deep fat frying, the grease traps should be cleaned manually on a routine basis in order to prevent overloads of cooked grease from plugging the drain field, or dry wells.
If this could happen, increase the application of Super Enzymes to stronger treatment in order to permit constant seeding and digestion in the drain field or dry well. Otherwise, eventually the drain treatment should be the initial or purge treatment applied in a slurry form through the opening to the grease trap and directly over the wastes in the trap.
Super Enzymes Treatment Program for Septic Tanks
If septic tank or cesspool has backed up into the sanitary facilities, do not use Super Enzymes until the septic tank or cesspool has been pumped.
If the cap (solids at the top of the waste in the septic tank) is grey in color or has a hard crust and over 6 inches thick, the septic tank or cesspool should be pumped before starting to use Super Enzymes.
If the sludge, or ash build-up at the bottom of the septic tank is twelve inches or more in thickness, the septic tank or cesspool should be pumped before starting to use Super Enzymes. (The ash is the remains of full digestion or biological burning up of the wastes going through the septic tank - and is like the ash from burning coal, paper, etc., in a stove or incinerator. This build-up will accumulate at the rate of about one inch per year in an average home.)
This examination can be made by removing the manhole cover or opening at the top of septic tank or cesspool.
TO DETERMINE THICKNESS OF CAP AT TOP
The scum or cap can be measured with a pole to which a weighted flap has been binged, or with any device that can be used to feel out the bottom of the cap or scum material. The stick or pole is forced through the scum mat or cap, the hinged flap falls into horizontal position, and the pole is raised until resistance from the bottom of the scum mat or cap is felt. This can also be done with a pole by careful probing though the cap to determine the approximate thickness.
TO DETERMINE THE DEPTH OF ASH AT BOTTOM
A long pole, wrapped with rough, white toweling and lowered to the bottom of the tank will show the depth of sludge and the liquid depth of the tank. The pole should be behind the outlet device to avoid scum or cap particles. After several minutes, if the stick is carefully removed, the sludge or ash line can be distinguished by sludge or ash particles clinging to the toweling. This can also be determined in a general way by lowering the pole to the bottom and gently moving the pole at the bottom while withdrawing the pole. The resistance will indicate the depth of the sludge or ash.
Observe the color of the solids that comprise the cap in the septic tank. Brown color indicates raw sewage; Grey color indicates indigested sewage; Black color indicates normal digestion and septic tank activity, color variances in these indicate degree of activity or inactivity.
If cone mounds and blow holes cover the cap and bubbles are appearing on top of the cap, it is an indication that the waste is gassing and the digestion of the solids is progressing. The extent of this activity determines the degree of action.
The middle zone (called clear space) must be completely free of solids in a properly operating septic tank, with a layer of scum or cap at the top and a bottom layer of sludge or ash. The outlet device is generally below the surface of the scum or cap at a point equal to 40% of the liquid depth of the septic tank. Thus the outlet device retains the scum in the septic tank and prevents the septic tank from scouring, which means that no sludge or sewage will discharge in the effluent from the septic tank into the drain filed or seepage pits.
Odors will not back up or seep through the soil from the septic tank, cesspool, seepage pits, or drain field if proper digestion is taking place in the disposal facility.
TREATMENT APPLICATION
Seed the septic tank or cesspool with one pound of Super Enzymes for each five member per family. Add one cupful of Super Enzymes for each person over five individuals using the facilities, applying the Super Enzymes directly into the septic tank or cesspool while still uncovered and easily accessible.
For commercial units, apply one pound of Super Enzymes per 1000 gallon capacity of the septic tank or cesspool.
Applications of Super Enzymes made directly into the septic tank or cesspool should be mixed at the rate of one pound of Super Enzymes to two gallons of warm water and stirred into a slurry. This should be over the top of the cap in the septic tank or cesspool.
An alternative treatment is that of putting Super Enzymes in paper bags and gently pushing the paper bags down through an opening in the cap which has been made by repeated penetration of the cap by use of a pole or suitable instrument.
Cover the cap completely with warm water to soak the cap and to provide liquid covering to increase action in the septic tank or cesspool.
If unable to uncover the septic tank or cesspool or there is no manhole, and providing the septic tank or cesspool have not been causing backups of sewage or odors, then the recommendations of the amount of Super Enzymes to use can be followed as specified heretofore by flushing the Super Enzymes in smaller amounts through the stool until the full amount has been flushed along to the septic tank or cesspool.
Super Enzymes will multiply rapidly and carry on in a normal course of action into the dry well, seepage pit or drain field to cause eventual full digestion and penetration of this area for proper action throughout the entire disposal system.
After initial treatment with Super Enzymes, the regular treatment schedule found on the label will be sufficient to keep the septic in good operating condition.
This is the time of the year when roaches become an extra burden. To help control these hungry critters we have a 3 step program.
1. Spray the residual insecticide in the perimeter of the room. This residual usually will last for 3 to 4 weeks - Don't miss a spot.
2. You use the powder and you put this behind the refrigerators and stoves. If not washed away this will last about 6 months to a year. The roaches will track this back to their nest and deposit lethal doses on each other.
3. You now fog the room with our Swat Plus using the Cyclone ULV applicator machine. (Close the doors and let the insecticide do it's work.)
The Cyclone applicator will penetrate all the cracks and crevices and flush them out. Then they will cross the residual and die.
